The song name of the modern Korean folk song, Niliriya, originated from the "Niliriya" in the chorus. There is also a theory that this "Niliriya" is a sound after the sound of a willow pipe.
The song is a sad story about missing your beloved, but it gives a cheerful feeling thanks to the melody that flow with high notes and gutgeori rhythm. The composer tried to revive the excitement of the original song by using the fast-paced sound of gayageum as the lyrics.
